From prevention and intervention to residential treatment and recovery services our agency is dedicated to the needs of families and individuals adversely affected by alcohol and drugs.
The Office of the Public Defender was created by the Florida Constitution.
Its primary mission is to provide quality legal representation to indigent citizens charged with crimes within the territorial boundaries of the Third Judicial Circuit.
In addition, the office is charged with representing persons when the State attempts to involuntarily commit them to mental health facilities, juveniles accused of committing delinquent acts, persons referred to mental health court and persons referred to drug court.
We are a faith-based support group open to anyone and everyone that has a struggle. We believe that it is Jesus Christ that can heal you and help you through the healing process.
We offer strength, experience and hope to all walks of life, whether you suffer with a substance abuse disorder, a mental health disorder, pain from the past, pain in the present, we are here to help.

The Department of Health in Madison provides the following services and resources to the community: Clinical and Nutrition Services, Wellness Programs, Community Health Planning Statistics, Environmental Health, Emergency Preparedness and Response, Infectious Disease Services.
The Taylor County Health Department offers a wide variety of services to the citizens and visitors of Taylor County. These services include family planning, OB services, HIV testing and counseling, septic tank permitting, water testing, immunizations, birth and death records, and many other medical and environmental services. MCMH was founded in 1937. Today it is one of only 13 hospitals in Florida designated as a Critical Access Hospital (CAH).
MCMH has 25 private patient rooms and provides a variety of outpatient services and diagnostic tests. As of 2020 the hospital added general surgical procedures and wound care.
The governing board of Madison County Health and Hospital District is made up of seven directors appointed by the Governor of Florida. These directors serve staggered four-year terms and are selected from applications submitted to the governor’s office.
We help assist children, adolescents, adults, and families who have complex needs in an effort to prevent a more intensive and restrictive behavioral health placement. Behavioral Health addresses the connection between behavior, mental health, and the health and wellness of the body, mind, and your inner self.
Healthy behavior can positively impact physical and mental health, prevent illness, and promote a healthier quality of life. Our Behavioral Health Services include Psychiatric services, Individual and Family Therapy, Case Management, Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services, Community Outreach, and Group Therapy.
The Planning & Zoning department is responsible for the interpretation and enforcement of the Land Development Code and Comprehensive Plan as it relates to land use regulations, zoning codes, site and building new construction, and redevelopment for the County of Madison. It is the mission of the Planning & Zoning department to provide fair and equitable administration and enforcement of the codes in a manner that is courteous, respectful, and expedient for the citizens, property owners, and prospective property owners of Madison County.
